Warning: Blood

Act I – Episode 158

Mandy waits for the deafening boom, but there is only a muffled Chuf! as the gun discharges. The bullet rips through her chest, slamming her into the bathroom wall. She slumps to the floor.

She sits on the cold tiles, watching with huge eyes as Lucistra crosses the room toward her. Pain screams through her body. She clutches at her wound in a vain effort to stop the bleeding. She struggles for breath.

“Don’t look so sad,” Lucistra snarls. “Everybody loves you.” Her voice changes, becoming high-pitched and mocking: “We love Mandy and Tracy. They’re so cute and funny. We want to be like them. We want to make fun of Lucistra too.” Her voice returns to normal – restrained, cold, deadly: “Never mind that I was just a kid. Never mind that I had no friends. And Sinistra – my very own mother – did she ever try to protect me? No, she protected YOU. She sent ME away.”

Mandy squirms uncomfortably in the pool of blood forming around her, unable to tear her eyes away from the barrel of the gun.

“This is the end for you now,” Lucistra growls, a smile touching the corners of her mouth. “It’s just a pity it has to be so quick. I’d really rather gut you.” She puts the gun to Mandy’s temple.

Mandy begins to scream.

Chuf! Chuf!

And then there is silence.
